140 × 60, 4 × 2 cm or 300 × 80: paper is added around the ink until the shape matches, then the whole signature is fitted in — never squashed — and saved inside a 10–20 KB band.

Opens at 140 × 60 with paper in the scan's own colour, the ink at 92% of the box, JPG, 10–20 KB. The chips switch box; the custom fields take any other size.

What this does to your signature

A portal's box has a proportion, and your signature almost certainly has another. Squashing it into the box distorts the ink; cropping cuts letters. Adding paper — a canvas in the scan's own paper colour, grown until the box's shape is reached — and then fitting the result into the box is the operation this whole site is built around, and on a flat sheet of paper every fill is safe. The model is not offered here; paper needs none.

The awkward questions

My portal says 140 × 60 — will the signature be squashed?

No. A signature written across the page is much wider than 140:60, so stretching it into that box would flatten the ink. This page adds paper above and below until the scan has the box's shape, then fits the whole thing into 140 × 60. The letters keep their proportions; the panel prints how much the ink was scaled.

How do I get it between 10 and 20 KB?

The page opens with a 10–20 KB band and JPG output, and raises or lowers the quality to land inside it. A 140 × 60 picture is very small, so it may not be able to reach 10 KB even at the highest quality; if so the receipt says so with the numbers and offers the next pixel size, for notices where 140 × 60 is “preferred” rather than fixed.

What if the paper is grey?

The new paper is filled with the colour sampled from the edge of your scan, so a grey sheet gets grey paper and the join does not show. Pick white in the Fill tab if your notice wants a white background.

Is 300 × 80 an official size?

We could not find the authority for it. It is searched for often and the chip is there, labelled as unsourced — check your own notice. 140 × 60 comes from a bank recruitment notice and 4.0 × 2.0 cm from an SSC notice, both linked beside the chips with the date they were read.

Is my signature uploaded?

No. It is opened, fitted and saved by this tab. Nothing is sent anywhere.
